Streaming


How is the streaming quality?

iOS / Android

You can select from Low (64kbps), Normal, (96kbps), and High (128kbps).
You can listen to music at 320kbps when connected to Wi-Fi.

You can set up at “Settings” via the menu icon メニューアイコン at the top of the screen > “Sound Quality / Playback”.


PC

Only supports playback at 320kbps. You cannot change the settings.


There is a song I cannot play within the playlist.

There are times when a song may stop distribution without notice.


Can other users see a song or playlist I played?

No, other users cannot see what you were listening. You can select playlists to be published/private.


How do I set up shuffle playback?

iOS / Android

Tap the player displayed at the bottom of the screen during playback, and tap the shuffle icon シャッフル displayed on the right of the play button.

When the icon is orange シャッフルオン, it means that shuffle playback is activated. Follow the same instructions to deactivate shuffle playback.


PC

Click the shuffle icon シャッフル displayed on the right of the play button during playback.

When the icon is orange シャッフルオン, it means that shuffle playback is activated. Follow the same instructions to deactivate shuffle playback.


How do I set up repeat playback?

iOS / Android

Tap the player displayed at the bottom of the screen during playback, and tap the repeat icon リピートアイコン according to the two purposes below.

If you want to repeat the playlist/album you’re currently listening

  • Tap the repeat button once (the icon is orange リピートアイコンオン)

If you want to repeat the music you’re currently listening

  • Tap the repeat button twice (the icon is orange and says “1" リピートアイコンオン2)

PC

Tap the repeat icon リピートアイコン shown on the player at the bottom of the screen according to two purposes below.

If you want to repeat the playlist/album you’re currently listening

  • Click the repeat icon once (the icon is orange リピートアイコンオン)

If you want to repeat the music you’re currently listening

  • Click the repeat icon twice (the icon is orange and says “1"リピートアイコンオン2)

What is Highlight Playback?

Highlights playback allows you to listen to 90 seconds of music taken from the best sections of a variety of songs, as they fade in and out seamlessly from one to another without pause.

*Please note that when using highlights playback with the Free Plan, some songs, where no permission has been given by the rights-holder, may be playable for 30 seconds only, or not at all.


How do I use Highlight Playback?

iOS / Android

The instructions are as follows:

  1. Start playing a song, then tap the player displayed at the bottom of the app
  2. Turn on the "Highlight Playback" button on the bottom-right of the expanded player screen

*Follow the same steps above to cancel Highlight Playback.

PC

While listening to music, turn on the "Highlight Playback" button on the bottom-right of the app.
*Follow the same steps above to cancel Highlight Playback.


What is crossfade playback?

Cross-fade playback is a function for smoother playback that removes silence between songs through overlapping playback by fading out of the previous song while simultaneously fading into the next song in accordance with the specified number of seconds. Turning on cross-fade playback enables you to go from one song to the next without interruption.

*In highlight playback with the Free Plan, cross-fade is automatically set to 6 seconds and cannot be changed.
*In highlight playback on the Standard Plan, cross-fade is similarly set to 6 seconds, but you can set the cross-fade time for full-length playback to your desired number of seconds between 1 and 12.


How can I change the "Number of Seconds" for crossfade?

iOS / Android

Set the "Number of Seconds" using the procedures below.

  1. In "Settings" under the app menu メニューアイコン , tap "Sound Quality / Playback"
  2. Under "CROSSFADE", in the center of the screen, turn on the switch on the right that says "Enable crossfade "
  3. Slide the bar back and forth to set it to your preferred number of seconds.

* The settings above are only applicable for Full-scale Playback in the Standard Plan.
*The 6 second CROSSFADE setting during the Highlight Playback cannot be changed


PC

Set the "Number of Seconds" using the procedures below.

  1. Click "Settings" under the Settings icon 歯車マーク at the bottom right corner of the app.
  2. In the "PLAYBACK" in the lower section, turn on the switch labeled "Enable crossfade".
  3. Slide the bar back and forth to set it to your preferred number of seconds.

Can I change the song order when playing a playlist or album?

iOS / Android

This is possible by doing the following

  1. When playing a song, tap the player displayed at the bottom of the screen
  2. Go to the play queue display by tapping the play queue icon play queue in the upper right portion of the player display
  3. Drag and drop songs to freely change the song order

Can I do things such as interrupt playback and scheduled playback?

it is possible by doing the following

■ If you wish to schedule tracks to play after the currently playing playlist or album is finished playing.

  1. Tap "Add to play queue" from the sub-menu サブメニュー of the album page or playlist that you wish to play next.
  2. Tap the player displayed at the bottom of the app
  3. Tap the play queue icon play queue icon in the upper right to bring up the play queue
  4. Confirm that that the desired track has been scheduled to play next after the currently playing playlist or album

■ If you wish to schedule tracks to play next after the currently playing song

  1. While playing a song, tap "Play Next" from the sub-menu sub-menu of the song you wish to play next
  2. Tap the player displayed at the bottom of the app
  3. Tap the play queue icon play queue icon in the upper right to bring up the play queue
  4. Confirm that the desired song has been scheduled to play next after the currently playing song

Can I save edited play queues?

iOS / Android

This can be done through the following steps

  1. After editing a play queue, tap the "Save" button displayed at the top of your screen when you scroll down
  2. A new playlist creation screen will come up with all the songs in the play queue added
  3. Enter a title and description of your choosing and tap "Done" in the upper right
